Alderson Law recently had the privilege of taking part in the RNLI-911 Challenge 2023, for which Mark Hipkin (Partner/ Head of the Personal Injury and Civil Litigation department) went to Cullercoats to meet project-runners Belinda and James and present the RNLI Lifeboat Station with a sponsorship plaque.
Through the RNLI-Challenge, Belinda and James aim to fulfil a two-part mission: spreading general awareness of the RNLI, and raising funds to buy a ‘D’ Class Lifeboat by 2024. Their challenge: drive to 116 RNLI stations throughout England, the Isle of Man, the Isles of Scilly, the Isle of Wight, and the Channel Islands of Alderney, Guernsey and Jersey, in 23 days. Our stop was number 63 on the list!
We are extremely proud to be one of the sponsors of this wonderful tour. The RNLI is an incredible volunteer-led organisation, providing a 24/7 lifeboat rescue service across the UK and Ireland (you can learn more about them here). And we think that Belinda and James’s campaign, though not directly connected to the RNLI, is a fantastic way to raise awareness of the important work the RNLI is doing.
You can find more information on the challenge, and keep updated on the status of their fundraising efforts, on the rnli-911challenge website or via social media (Instagram and Twitter).
