We would like to acknowledge and congratulate Julie Nicholson, one of our solicitors here at Alderson Law, on her re-accreditation to the Advanced Family Panel. This is a recognised quality standard for family law practitioners, and is particularly notable due to the fact that Julie is one of only twelve solicitors to hold this accreditation in the North East (from Middlesbrough to Berwick). She was also the first solicitor in North Tyneside to attain it.
Julie specialises in the finance and relief settlement of divorce proceedings, and also how these affect any children involved in the process.
Her re-accreditation is proof of her competence and in-depth knowledge of the subject of family law. It is predicated on a general knowledge and awareness of both family law and the law outside of family law, and an in-depth knowledge of at least two of seven subject areas listed by the Law Society. Julie’s chosen specialist areas are Ancillary Relief and Private Children Act proceedings.
Ancillary Relief concerns financial matters on Divorce (for example, what is to happen to the former matrimonial home, savings, pensions, etc). Private Children Act proceedings regards where the children involved shall live, who they shall live with, and how of then parents will see them.
This is the third time Julie has been re-accredited to the Advanced Family Panel – each re-accreditation requiring the submission of further case studies as confirmation of relevant knowledge. As the renewal process takes place on a five-year basis, this represents a total of fifteen years of accreditation.
For further information regarding any of these areas, don’t hesitate to get in touch. You can reach Julie at julienicholson@aldersonlaw.
