Lydia graduated from Newcastle University with a BSc (Hons) in Medical Microbiology. However, immediately following that, she undertook the Common Professional Exam (a law conversion course) and the Legal Practice Course at Northumbria University. Lydia qualified as a solicitor in 2005. Since then, she has specialised in wills, trusts and probate. As a full member of the Society of Trust Estate Practitioners (STEP), Lydia has the skills to advise on all aspects of estate planning, including inheritance tax.
As well as writing wills and administering estates, Lydia regularly advises clients on matters such as Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection matters. Lydia is a full accredited member of Solicitors for the Elderly and is trained to assist older clients. She has been described by clients as professional, knowledgeable and approachable.
As a mother of two young boys, Lydia doesn’t have a lot of spare time however she tries to squeeze in a run whenever time allows.
